Workshop at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Gen held a Kintsugi workshop for the conservators at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

We gave them the challenge of working with completely broken ceramic pieces.

The conservaters are very interested on kintsugi techniques after seeing Gen's restoration work.

今回は、完全に割れた陶器の金継ぎにチャレンジしていただきました。

日本の伝統技術にみなさん興味津々に、そして楽しく取り組んでいた姿がとても印象的。

同じ業種ということもあり、よい刺激になった5日間でした。
